Kelly O’Connell, Executive Vice President at ON ITS AXIS, an innovation consultancy specializing in product and people solutions customized for growing teams, has been accepted into Forbes Human Resources Council, an invitation-only community for HR executives across all industries.

Last week we had the honor of exhibiting at the Ascent Tech Conference in New York City. The conference boasted 1000 meetings, 200 demos, 70 roundtables, and 50 talks curated for VC's and founders in a unique setting at Pier 36. While we were busy sharing what we do with attendees and fellow exhibitors, we also participated in lively discussions about product validation, pitching, securing funding, attracting talent and efficient scaling techniques. Attendees collaborated with each other throughout the two days on big topics impacting technology startups today such as innovation, social good and ethics. It was by far one of the more inspiring events I've attended and also shed light into where the industry is focused. Orange County, California, is a special place. Known for it's breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean and picturesque coastal scenery, its become an important extension to the tech startup scene in nearby Los Angeles and San Diego. As members of the Orange County community with headquarters in Costa Mesa, I am proud to announce a partnership with Coded in OC, a community organization focused on highlighting companies who develop software in Orange County, California, fueling the local economy. Supported by the Greater Irvine Chamber and Irvine Valley College, this community initiative intends to grow the local economy by encouraging companies to invest in local talent, grow and retain the local workforce, pursue innovation, and shine a light on Orange County’s technology community. What a fun week being featured in VoyageLA magazine's Inspiring Stories from the OC! Thanks to the VoyageLA Staff and David Voorhees, an Orange County based photographer and videographer, I had the opportunity to share and illustrate how ON ITS AXIS got started and our vision for working with early stage and high-growth startups.
