How much will my idea cost to build?

We understand that you want to know how to get your idea off the ground and how much it will cost. Many of the founders we work with have come to us with the same goal. We have a strong belief that developing a roadmap from which to execute is important, and that a few strategy exercises can develop the foundation we need to create the roadmap and understand the budget. We have found the most efficient way to get started achieving these objectives is with our half-day founder-focused Strategy Session.

Have you worked with an idea stage founder? What are some success stories?

We’ve worked with a lot of founders who have started from scratch. Success is often determined by the work founders put in, and the goals set at the start of the project based on a foundation we help you construct during a Strategy Session. Founders we’ve worked with have received funding, won customers, scaled organizations and exited.

Do you build apps?

Of course you want to get your idea to market as quickly as possible. We work with clients to develop their ideas in the form of web and mobile applications; however, our practice belief is to first define, prototype and test so that the right solution gets built in the leanest way possible. Can one of your team members serve in a full-time product role?

The short answer is yes, although that not be the best solution for you. Many companies looking to add internal product team members could actually benefit more from strategic product consulting. Depending on your objectives, we could support your organization on a part-time basis for a defined period of time, and help identify and onboard the right full-time product resource. Clients who have followed this process have been able to attract better talent and save on annual salary.

What is your pricing? Do you have an hourly rate or work on fixed price projects?

Our pricing is competitive with other startup-focused firms and very affordable. We believe in efficiency and never recommend services that won’t directly benefit you. Our standard hourly rate is $150/hour and we offer discounts for packages, WeWork members and conference attendees at events we are affiliated with. Our fixed price rates are very reasonable and we’re able to offer a wide range of services to meet your key deliverables. If we engage on a program together and decide a proposal makes sense for a future, larger initiative, we provide a discount based on our initial engagement together.

I'm interested in becoming a product consultant. Can you help?

As part of our Advisory Services we help product professionals who need coaching on honing aspects of their craft. If this involves developing a set of tools and techniques for moving into consulting we are happy to structure the advising sessions accordingly.

I run a development firm. Can we support your team?

Our company is built on successful partnerships with designers, developers, recruiters and marketers. If you are a development firm focused on creating innovative, disruptive technology we are happy to have a conversation to see how we might work together.

I see you offer mentoring. How can I sign up?

We offer mentoring to early stage (pre-funded) startups and product professionals seeking career advice to advance their profession. Each month we set aside a number of hours for these services. What are some examples of successful product engagements you've led?

Our project portfolio is extensive and we work across many industries. Much of our work completed is under NDA; however, for projects we are able to share please take a look at our work samples.

Where are you located and what markets do you serve?

Our headquarters is located in the sunny, coastal town of Costa Mesa, California, in between Los Angeles and San Diego. We also have a branch office in the city of Philadelphia.

Why should I use your service instead of filling the position on my own?

If you are not satisfied with an employee, we will replace them, and you have not made the investment of hiring them onto your payroll. We cover workers’ compensation and unemployment costs as well as taking away the stress of recruiting and sorting through applicants for the ones who are qualified. We are here to help.
